Joy’s Week

Joy loves going out to dinner!!  She loves getting “J-ow-e-s” the most!  When she had her surgery, we learned that she can say juice, but that word means juice as in apple juice or grape juice.  “J-ow-e-s” means soda.IMG_1919IMG_1921

Joy’s Week

In the beginning of the week, Joy was still in pain and recovering.  By the end of the week, she was back to her normal vibrant self!  But all of this pain has been worth it (at least to us!), her speech is markedly improved!  She is annunciating ending consonants.  Her acoustics are so much better!  We understand so much more of what she is trying to say!  Score one for communication!

We bought some school supplies – she is so excited for school!  She wanted to go back to school that instant!

We had to renew our handicap placard.  Joy was done with waiting so big sister took her down the street for gelato!! Thanks Bec!

Big Week for Joy

This week Joy had her tonsils and adenoids removed.  While she was under the ENT took a peek at her ears.  She earned herself ear tubes!

She was such a sweet and good little patient.  I was so proud of her!

At home she had plenty of meds to keep her comfortable.

Playing with Daddy on some old sprinkler tubing – it makes a great instrument!

We took her to the Japanese Gardens.  We brought the stroller so she wouldn’t have to exert herself.  She loved the Koi the most – she threw all her bread to them!  :)
