Joy’s Fortnight

We went to a special needs support group meeting at the Tomball library. 

Very fun!  Joy loved making a pumpkin.

Joy and Bella were invited to a gymnastics birthday party.  Joy LOVES birthdays!

Joy loves to eat tomatoes the same way others eat apples!  Happy girl after school!

School work – so proud of how hard she works!  She got four out of the five senses correct and coloring in the lines.

We had Parent Teacher conference. Joy is a joyful stubborn girl.  We have some work to do in the areas of compliance and self control. They love her and I am thankful for how hard they work with her every day!

Joy got an award from school for  her enthusiasm – good description of our girl.

Pizza night – Joy insisted we have a picnic!

Joy’s Fortnight

It was a teeny bit chilly outisde, so Joy had to wear her coat – silly girl!  Going on a walk with her puppy.  She got a reminder sticker at school.  Once in the car, she told me, “Look!  It’s a hat!”  Love ya babe!

She loves to push her baby sister into school.  And then she takes off her her own class.

Joy’s Week

This picture is called a Speech Banana.  It explains what sounds Joy is having trouble hearing.

If you draw a line between 500 and 1000 and then look left, all of those letters (m,d,b,I,a,n,ng,e,l,u,o) are gone to her. (She has moderate hearing loss in those frequencies) At 1000 she jumps up to only mild hearing loss, so she does better.

We were given some new therapy toys – Joy was so happy!

Joy and Bella love to play outside together.  I didn’t turn on the hose that day, so she improvised – one glass of water, full of ice cubes.  :)

We went to the Hydrocephalus Walk.  Joy was quite a handful, but she had a blast!
