Joy is learning “hop” in Speech.
My wife and I received inspiration that we needed to adopt a girl with Down syndrome. Her name is Abigail Lili JOY Turpin. These are the chronicles of finding and having Joy!

Movies and Church
Joy has discovered movies! She can now ask for them with the sign “movie” – it really is too cute! Here she is entranced by Ponyo and Boo.
Joy hasn’t been to church in a really long time. With Bella at home, we do all we can to keep Joy healthy because she loves to hug and kiss her Bella. Church nursery is the LAST place on earth we want to take her. But today, Bella is struggling. I need to pay close attention to Bella, so I sent Joy with Jason to church. He isn’t going to take Joy to nursery, but she is going! Hope she behaves! ;)
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Joy has beautiful hair! Oh my goodness. Love ya babe.

See n Learn
Cammie talked about this on her blog. Then I went and checked it out. I got so excited! It is so similar to how we taught Joy to sign. So I went ahead and got some materials from them. Joy loves them! She is doing fantastic with them! Her speech therapist and developmental services teacher think they are great! Yeah for Joy! What a smart little girl you are! And thanks Cammie for the link to such a great product.

Joy’s Week
Joy is too cute! Talking to the missionaries, playing with her babies, “helping” Kris exercise, talking on the phone, and playing with her sister makes for a fun life!
Lots more therapy pictures – giraffes are tall! Painting and more painting!

Playing with Cousins
Cyndi came to visit! Joy loved playing with her cousins – particulary Michael! A tea party with Jessi before the cousins came.
The junk food queen was in heaven with the Doritos! The girls included her in their game of Red Rover.
Playing with Michael on the Trampoline and then at the park.
There are times I wonder if Joy misses, on some deep level, her twin brother. Days like yesterday really make me miss her brother too.
We wore her out! What a great day!

Preschool Screening
AHHH!! My school district just called – in two weeks Joy has her preschool screening! They called her Abigail – first thing we’ll have to fix :)
How did she get old enough for this?
