Happy Kid

Joy adores Bella.  She wants to hold Bella.  She wants to be with Bella.  She LOVES Bella – so much. 

I am always having to tell her to “be soft!”  She’ll learn.  Bella loves it too – she is starting to dish out some loving back :)

 

 

Thursday was a big day – Meet the Teacher at Joy’s new school!  I hope that she’ll have a wonderful year!

And then the most exciting thing of the week…..Strawberry Shortcake came home!  I ordered a Strawberry Shortcake doll for Joy.  She adores it!  “Cake, Cake!”

 

Joy can delight in the simplest things.  This time a balloon at Taco Bell.

Joy love to swim.  That Mediterranean complexion loves the  sun! 

The other picture – we have been working on using both of our hands at the same time – a new package of crayons ($0.25 at WalMart!!) is a great therapy tool!

I love this picture because it shows some of her spunk.  She is such a character! 

And her new big girl bed – she is 3.  It is a little harder at bed time, but I felt that it was time.

Kisses from Mama.  Yes, she is eating chicken and can’t put it down for kisses, so the kisses come anyway.

Silly Girl

We are trying to start a more age appropriate obsession so we have introduced Strawberry Shortcake.  It’s too cute.  She asks for the movie by saying, “cake cake cake cake cake.”

She still loves her Muppet’s Popcorn.  She asks for that one by signing shrimp on both hands at the same time.  Here she is watching “Popcorn.”

Loved this picture – she was sitting there in a big chair with her legs crossed carrying on a complete conversation on the pretend phone.  Too cute!

Joy’s Current Obsession

Joy tends to have a little OCPD streak.  Things must be just so.  I keep telling the kids when they all leave and it’s just the little girls and us – this house is going to be clean!  Anyway, Joy’s newest obsession is Popcorn by the Muppets.

Joy’s Reactions to the Daytime Fireworks

Joy enjoyed the snakes.  She liked the smoke bombs.  The girls kept saying, “Awesome!”  So she piped in, “Aw – sum!”  Too cute!

She was not a fan of the ones that made loud noises.  She came inside and watched through the window for those.  :)

In the car and in the hotel, Joy wanted to watch, what else?, Totoro!

 

 

 

Before heading home, we went to the Wildlife Refuge.  There is a huge collection of animals and you drive through safari style.  At the end we stopped and got icees and went to the petting zoo to pet the goats.

 

 

 

Morgan’s Wonderland

Earlier in the year, I was trying to decide what to do for Joy’s birthday and then I heard about Morgan’s Wonderland.  I was so excited – and I was not disappointed!  Morgan’s Wonderland is a great place for people of all abilities!
